Autumn card: Basket of Maple Leaves Cutting Dies

Welcome to the new week! I’ll continue to share great items with you this week! We will offer a lot discount to you because kokorosa studio is 2 years old! We want to celebrate the exciting time with you together! I’m going to show you one project and list some key steps when making cards. Let’s see what I’ll recommend to you today!

The item I want to share with you today is the Basket of Leaves Cutting Dies, which is one of my favorite items. You will get one basket and some leaves patterns if you own this dies set! I quickly decided to make one autumn themed card when I saw these elements. A basket of yellow falling leaves is really suitable for autumn season. In addition, the process of making this project is easy! Let’s see some steps!

Firstly, die out the basket pattern using cutting machine on the brown card stock paper. Then using the machine to die out many maple leaves patterns quickly.

Next, you can choose yellow or orange ink to color these leaves with the sponge slowly. And you can randomly color these leaves to create some differences between these maple leaves, which will make these leaves look more naturally.

After coloring all these leaves, we used brown ink pad to darken the color of edge, which make this card looks better.

Then, we can start to design the background of the card. We used wooden pattern embossing folders to create a nice background. Wooden and leaves both belong to parts of nature, so the two patterns can be combined together.  

In addition, we added some little shiny stars to this card. Dose it look cute?

Finally, we only need to adhere all elements to the wooden background. I will suggest you to use the foam adhesive to increase the effects of multiple layers. What’s more, We select one dark kraft paper as the bottom layer of this card. And the darker layer will perfectly highlight the beautiful of basket of leaves.
